Our Humanitarian Trip to the Philippines

Join us on our journey to the RCSS Orphanage as we shop locally for supplies. Working directly with staff, we were able to provide essential supplies such as hygiene items, diapers, clothing , shoes, food, water, art supplies and educational material, as well as complete a needs assessment for future projects.

Needs Assessment & Educational Platforms

"Research shows that having the arts and music in children is essential. We know that intuitively as humans - parents sing to their babies. Studies shows that children and teenagers who participated in arts programs have shown more positive academic and social outcomes in comparison to those who did not. It’s why educational platforms are at the heart of our mission. This year we are strategically researching and planning for our next mission humanitarian project for the orphans.

WHY OUR PROJECTS MATTER

LA TIME: 1.8 MILLION ORPHANS IN THE PHILLIPPINES

"The Philippines has 1.8 million abandoned orphaned children. Some are victims of extreme poverty; others of natural disasters and armed conflicts in the country's riven south.

Here's what keeps many orphans from adoption:

STRIVING AND SURVIING: THE PHENOMENOLOGY OF ORPHANED STUDENTS IN PUBLIC SCHOOLS
ARTS AND ACHEIVEMENT IN AT RISK YOUTH
CREATIVE AND EXPRESSIVE ARTS THERAPY

Creative interventions have been formalized through the disciplines of art therapy, music therapy, dance/movement therapy, drama therapy  and play therapy. Each discipline has been applied in psychotherapy and counseling with individuals of all ages, particularly children, for more than 70 years.
